Our Garden!

My husband came to school yesterday and put classroom garden markers at each garden plot. We are all looking forward to working with our classes in the Davis School garden!

Welcome Back!

We are all happy to be back together here at Davis! Everyone looks taller and older and ready to learn! In these last weeks of school we will be working on our farm unit and kids will create their own farms. We will also do some planting in our garden and will be looking for parent volunteers to help us (if it ever warms up enough to be outside planting!). The baby eaglets have hatched in the nest we have been watching in British Columbia and now we can observe them eating and growing until we leave in June. We hope everyone had a great vacation and feel glad we can be here in room 131 together again!

Play football  to hand touch..
Play catch.
Play wallball.

Eagles

We are learning about Eagles. The mother Eagle laid  three eggs. It's so cool.The third chick died!      
The eagle ate a big  fish! The father eagle is boring because we never see him. The mother eagle has a sharp beak. The mother hates intruders except  for the father.

Outside Again!

Kids got a chance to do some reading and writing outside on Friday. We hope to spend a lot more time in our special outdoor space!
