Every morning kids read books chosen for them that are at their independent reading level. Everyone finds a comfy spot and settles in to enjoy some great stories. This is one of our most favorite times of our day!

Baby Eaglets Have Arrived!
The eggs we have been watching for a month hatched a few days ago and there are now two little gray baby eaglets in the nest! The father often brings a fish to the mother who rips pieces and feeds them to her new babies. They will grow fast and we will watch them until our summer vacation! Here are photos of the first little eaglet to hatch. See the egg next to him?

Art Fun!
Three first grade classes got together in the cafeteria on Friday to make art! Kids created "window boxes" to celebrate spring 's arrival. We had such a good time and hope to have another fun Friday like this again soon!
Technology Showcase
Talia and Micah were superstars at the Technology Showcase the other night at the high school! They showed many things we do with the smart board in our classroom. They even helped Ms. Benoit, our principal learn how to build a snowman!
