In our classroom we have a bathroom sign out. Here is what it's used for. If you need to go to the bathroom the bathroom sign out is the place you need to go. You write your name on the bathroom sign out and go to the bathroom.

Our Eagle Cam
We are observing a pair of eagles living in a nest in Decorah, Iowa. We watched them for the first time today and usually the mother doesn't lay her eggs until March. Today we counted 3 eggs in the nest and we have begun our eagle observation journal. We will be learning a lot about eagles as we observe the male and female eagles and their eggs. We can also watch them at home using the link on our blog.
Here is the link we will use:

Penguin Resource Scavenger Hunt
Kids are learning many awesome facts about penguins. Throughout our modular classroom space we have resources for kids to read, refer to and use in their work. We wanted kids to know where these resources are, so we had a scavenger hunt this morning!
Kids found poems, books, our graph of penguin data, words, photographs and measuring tapes to compare their heights to penguins. It was a lot of fun!
