Flashlight Friday!

First graders in the modulars cuddled up with a good book in a cozy spot and read using a little flashlight! What a great way to end the week!

Math Workplaces

In math kids are learning to use all of the awesome materials we have, share them with other kids at their table, have fun, and then do an amazing job working as a team to clean everything up! Here are some of the cool creations kids made using geoboards, pattern blocks, unifix cubes, dominoes, polygons and sea creatures!

Read To Self

Every day kids are practicing reading by themselves. They are learning to pick books that are just right for them and are building their reading stamina  (and doing it on a bunch of very cool seats!)

Read To Someone

First Graders were practicing sitting with a partner reading a book together. They had to decide together who would read first,  then listen to and help each other during reading. Some kids told the story using the pictures. They really enjoyed this reading time!
