Halloween in the Mods!

Thanks to all of the parents in Mrs. Harary's and Davies' classes who brought in fabulous games and projects on Friday! Everyone had a spooky time!

Pumpkin Sketches and Writing

Kids in the modulars got to study all of the parts of a pumpkin. Then they made observational drawings of each part and wrote a word list too!

Writing!

Kids are working on writing narrative stories, or stories about their lives. They are learning to draw a picture that matches their story, stretch words out to write all of the sounds they hear and to read their writing to a friend when they are  finished.

Number Corner

Every day we look at the calendar and use it to make patterns, write equations and tell number stories. Today kids were thinking what the calendar marker might be using what we already know and drawing their predictions on little whiteboards.

What Does A Scientist Do?

Kids in the mods are thinking about scientists and what they do. They are learning that if they like to think, explore and discover, they are scientists!
