Kids read a book in their reading group and then designed their own "billboards" like in the story!

Fundations

Kids are working on learning to spell words with digraphs (sh, th, wh, ck), long vowels and the suffix /s/.

Morning Meeting

Every morning during meeting we have a sharing time. Here are a few of our favorites!

Audubon Ark

We had some special visitors today! Kim from Drumlin Farm brought a bunny and a screech owl to our classroom. We talked about their habitats, what they eat and what they look like.

Penguin Study

Kids in the modulars have begun our study of penguins! It is part of our math curriculum and we integrate both science and literature into our study, too. We are learning about Antarctica as well as a few other places penguins live. We have learned about the body of a penguin and have compared it to another bird we have been learning about-the bald eagle! We will be writing All About Books about penguins and will paint a life-sized penguin.

Read Across America!

We had two highschool students come and read to us today! It was really fun!
