Shared Reading, A New Story

Mrs. W.B. reads a big book to us every week. Kids read with her, talk about the story together and work with one another to figure out a hard word, or what something means. They are learning reading strategies like: look at the first letter (of a hard word), look across the whole word, and others to make the job of reading easier. Eventually kids will use these strategies on their own when they are reading.
